October Delaware Casino Breakdown

The top five handles all-time in Delaware iGaming play, which includes mobile slots, roulette and card games, all have happened in 2022.

The state record was set with the Delaware July casino revenue report at nearly $39.4 million.

As for revenue, October ended a three-month streak of Delaware resetting its state record. Still, the $1.312 million last month is No. 5 all-time, with all of the five best months happening in 2022.

Delaware Park also led the state in casino revenue for October, but barely. The facility had $454,647 for the month, just ahead of $440,118 at Bally’s Dover. Harrington recorded $303,755 in revenue for the month.

Football Season Sparks Delaware Sports Betting Spike

The total sports betting handle of $13.55 million was not only a huge leap from the previous month, it was the best in the state since $15.57 million was the handle in November 2021, according to figures from the Delaware Lottery.

That’s partly because of football season, of course, when wagering interest peaks in every state with a legal, regulated market. But it’s even more true in Delaware, which offers parlay cards during football season at more than 100 retail outlets as well as the sportsbooks at the three casinos.

Delaware does not have online sports betting.

However, the total sports betting revenue decreased, falling 11.6%, from $2,785,652 in September to $2,463,045 in October.
